Beyond Upper and Lower

The Globe and Mail reports on a poll of the national parties. The NDP have consolidated their support in Quebec (historically called Lower Canada) and the Conservatives have a stronger hold on Ontario (Upper Canada).
While the G & M’s analysis is interesting, they fail to make any reference to either Eastern or Western Canada – this is where the action will be: can the traditionally Liberal ridings in the Maritimes and New Foundland / Labrador be turned NDP or can the Conservative stranglehold on the West be cracked?
